ABOUT US
Critter Shack Rescue is an all-volunteer organization and with two paid veterinarians on staff at our low cost spay/neuter clinic.
Funded by donations, fund-raisers, adoptions, and grants, the organization has been successful in rescuing thousands of adoptable animals. All of the pets offered for adoption are spayed/neutered/vaccinated, furthering the goal of reducing the numbers of homeless pets in need of rescue.
Many of the rescued animals come from area shelters throughout the Concho Valley and many had been scheduled for euthanasia. Critter Shack advocates for the humane treatment of animals, works to prevent the abandonment of animals, facilitates a spay and neuter program, and provides education in animal care, behavior, and humane treatment, along with establishing an ongoing adoption program designed to find caring homes for rescued animals.
As part of these efforts, Critter Shack is a partner with PetSmart Charities, which provides an on-site area for adoptable cats and offers space at the PetSmart in San Angelo for dog adoptions twice a month; PetSmart Charities also makes a monetary donation for each animal adopted on-site.
Critter Shack volunteers recognize education and free or low cost spay/neuter, along with a robust adoption program are the solutions to pet overpopulation and abandonment.

Spay/Neuter Your Pet
